Torrevieja

Torrevieja is a tourist town whose life revolves around the sea and salt. Its two huge salt mines, La Mata and Torrevieja, are surrounded by modern developments.
Connected to each other, the salt mines were declared a natural park and from La Mata connect directly to the sea. The saltworks is as old as the Christian era, but had its period of expansion in the s. XIX. Today the salt of Torrevieja is exported all over the world, and its annual production exceeds one million tons.
In Torrevieja, seafaring tradition is kept alive in the important activity of fishing and commercial port, as well as numerous moorings offered the Royal Sailing Club and Marina International. At the end of the promenade are the docks where ships loaded traveling to Cuba with salt and brought back some popular songs, habaneras, tradition contest encourages the busy city corals place every summer.

Orihuela Costa

 

 

A few Km. Of the city, declared a historic-artistic monuments, Orihuela has 16 km. coast where coves and cliffs with clear water and sandy beaches alternate, like Punta Prima, Playa Flamenca, La Zenia, Cabo Roig, Campoamor and Mil Palmeras with a recognized national and international prestige are and that year after year obtained the award of the Blue flag of the Clean Seas of Europe, in addition to obtaining other certifications such as ISO 14001, ISO 9001, UNE 187001 (Q Quality) Ecoplaya flag and flags Qualitur.

In its beaches, coves and marinas (Cabo Roig and Dehesa de Campoamor) you can enjoy water sports at any time of year, thanks to the privileged climate of the area, which ensures an average temperature around 20 degrees C and over 300 days of sunshine.

You can also practiced riding in the Club Hipico de Campoamor, golf in any of the five fields belonging to our municipality or other sports in one of the facilities which include residential complexes or the recently opened Municipal Sports Center Orihuela Coast.

Orihuela Costa's Beaches

Orihuela coast is the most privileged area of ​​the municipality. With 17 km of beautiful sandy beaches, surrounded by natural landscapes and coves of turquoise water, with 320 days of sunshine a year and an average temperature of 20 degrees, Orihuela Costa collects all the charm of the Mediterranean sea.

Five of these beaches have the Q Tourist Quality granted by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade. This is the highest national recognition tourism, and means "to ensure consumers the best possible travel experience."

The municipality of Orihuela extends to the sea 16 km. of coastline.

A little more than 20 km. of this city, dating Bigastro and passing through San Miguel de Salinas direction, Orihuela has coves, cliffs, transparent waters and excellent beaches with fine sand renowned: Punta Prima, Playa Flamenca, Cabo Roig, Campoamor and Mil Palmeras, are some where you can sunbathe and a bath.

And along the coast, you will discover the unique landscape of green golf courses, including pine, almond and lemon trees, with the sea on the horizon.
